Corinthia Hotel is one of the two great hotels to stay in Khartoum. A beautiful building similar to Burj Al Arab in Dubai is obviosly the first impression you get and it’s definitely very impressive designed. The hotel itself isn’t perfect and with a lot of things to improve, but overall it was kind of what I expected. I stayed in a comfortable standard room which was fully OK and with complimentary internet. Note that the Rotana charges for internet so Corinthia definitely wins on this one.
The service was partly OK, but not as good as Rotana. My biggest concern was the food, the breakfast was the worst I have seen in my travels and I couldn’t eat a single thing from their buffet. The pizza I ordered from room service wasn’t good, but edible and reasonable priced compared to other business hotels.
To sum up it’s important not to get me wrong. The hotel is a good experience and fully comfortable place to stay in Khartoum, it’s just very far from the level of other business hotels in the other African countries I have visited.
My opinion: Good experience.
