Four Seasons Resort Landaa Giraavaru

The final stop in the ultimate Four Seasons Maldives experience was their Landaa Giravaru Resort. Based on my research I had very high expectations, well-travelled people have called it their favourite resort in the world, so I was very excited.

I arrived with the Four Seasons Explorer boat, and many staff were there to welcome me including general manager Armando Kraenzlin. I love the entrance experience with beautiful palm trees all the way to the receptions sitting area. After a sweet lime welcome drink, I was escorted to the villa with a buggy. Before I arrived, I was giving the choice of staying in an over water villa or a beach villa. Based on people’s recommendations I decided the beach villa, and it was a good decision. 137 square metres indoor area with a bed, Tv and bathtub, all in a simple Maldivian style. 260 square metres outdoor area with a large private pool and a few steps from the beach itself. Wonderful.

The resort has 102 rooms, but it never felt like I was a number. Great personalised service and strong name recognition. I still consider Four Seasons Resort Sayan as the best service experience with Four Seasons, but this is a close second. As said in other articles about Maldives food is very important and both breakfast, lunch and dinner were top class in this hotel. As you would expect and I’m wondering if Four Seasons is ever going to disappoint me. The spa was an amazing experience and probably the best I’ve had. 2 hours Indian Shirodhara message with two therapists. Fantastic and so was the facilities.

Overall this deserves to be named among my favourite hotels in the world. The villas, service, food, spa, facilities and the experience itself were all at the highest level.

My opinion: Fantastic experience.
