Grand InterContinental Seoul is a 511-room 5 star business hotel with membership of Kiwi Collection and a great location at Gangnam, in the center of Seoul.
The hotel is currently doing a major renovation with several facilities closed. My experience started with a quick check in before being escorted to the room. I stayed in a Deluxe Room with an attractive, stylish design, comfortable bed, working desk and freestanding flatscreen Tv. The bathroom could need an update, but had separate shower from the bathtub.
The service was great in many ways, but I wasn’t impressed with the English level among the staff. Hard to have a conversation, even with the front desk manager, which was a surprise as this is a business oriented city hotel in the capital of South Korea.
As said, several facilities are closed for renovation, but is expected to be completed in January. That includes 15 meetings rooms that can accommodate up to 1.800 people, a huge ball room, swimming pool and three great restaurants.
The bottom line is that Grand InterContinental Seoul is a safe choice for business travellers or tourists needing a good location. The city metro with its impressive network is only a few steps from the hotel entrance.
My opinion: Good+ experience.
