Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa

After a great experience with Hilton Seychelles, I decided to try Hilton Mauritius. Hilton is a very unstable hotel brand, but they do have a few world class properties left. Hilton Seychelles was one of them, and I was excited to see the quality of Hilton Mauritius. Compared to Hilton Seychelles it’s a very different hotel. Hilton Seychelles is 40 all-villa hotel and the smallest in the Hilton family. Hilton Mauritius has 193 rooms and it’s a quite large resort. That in mind I didn’t expect the service to be near the level of Seychelles, but it was not far. Good name recognition even though there were 100s of other guests in the resort.

The deluxe room were entirely acceptable, but nothing special if you are used to world class hotels. The food is very good, and I had a nice dinner experience where the chef made an excellent tasting menu. Ask for his magic ball; it was a pleasant surprise. The facilities were up the-the standard I expected, and I had a great spa treatment in the spa.

Overall one of the world’s best Hilton Hotels. The quality of Hilton is not what it used to be, but this is one of the few good Hiltons that is left. Make sure to book in advance, rates as low as 200 dollars per. Night can be found in advance which is excellent value for Mauritius.

My opinion: Good+ experience.
