InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora

InterContinental Le Moana Bora Bora was the first high end hotel in Bora Bora and while it’s now the cheapest of the two InterContinental it’s still a nice hotel experience.

A free shuttle boat runs between the two InterContinental resorts and I arrived to a nice welcome and was offered a welcome drink before being escorted to the Bungalow. I stayed in a Beach Bungalow and it was beautifully located right on the beach. It looked a little tired inside, but was overall fine.

As you might know French Polynesia is not famous for their service and Le Moana was no exception. You can’t compare it with Asian hospitality and the high rates is only paid to stay in a good hotel in one of the world’s most beautiful locations.

Internet is very expensive and as a guest you even have to pay a lot for using the internet in the lobby. Terrible and something to be aware of.

Overall a nice little hotel experience which like the rest of Bora Bora is very overpriced for what you get. It’s one of the most beautiful locations in the world, but the hotel experience is far from the level of the worlds best.

My opinion: Good experience.
