My Experience: Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove must be one of the smallest Le Meridien hotels in the world. Only 68 rooms total and a less corporate feel than usual. I have stayed a quite a few Le Meridien hotels around the world, and it’s been hit and miss. Their property in Mauritius didn’t impress me much as it was outdated and with disappointing food, but I was hoping their Seychelles property would be better.
It was. Almost the opposite as the experience exceeded my expectations here. Great first impressions as I arrived before they escorted me to the room. Lovely contemporary design, complimentary Wi-Fi with an acceptable speed and great food by a talented French chef. Food is often disappointing for me at 5-star resorts in the Indian Ocean, but this is an exception. This resort has really made an effort, and just about everything exceeded my expectations.
You get more than you would expect from a Le Meridien. The location is stunning right on the beach, and I am happy to say, this is the best Le Meridien property I have stayed in my travels.
Duration of Stay/Visit: Two nights.
My Opinion: Great experience.
