Ngala Lodge is another of Gambia’s top resorts located in Fajara in this small country which is one of the few major tourist destinations in West Africa.
My experience started with an easy check in before being escorted to the room. I stayed in “Fontane Room” which was very nice with an authentic local design. The internet is complimentary, but as you might expect in Gambia, it was slow. 18 rooms total in Ngala Lodge which made it a personalized experience. The service was overall good. Staff kind and helpful, but more training could surely be needed. I didn’t have dinner included so can’t comment on the food level, but the breakfast was very good.
The hotel works together with spa therapist Anna that has over 20 years of experience. The spa center is located a good drive from the resort, but it’s possible to have massage at the property itself. I had a good spa treatment and the techniques are quite different from what I’ve experienced in Asia in the past.
My stay was short, but got a good impression of Ngala Lodge. It’s surely one of Gambia’s best places to stay and would not hesitate to return to Ngala and Gambia.
My opinion: Great experience.
