The Dorchester Suite was one of the better suites I’ve stayed in Europe. It’s 124 square metres and very luxurious. The carpet was my only complain about the suite. It needs to be replaced as soon as possible. The facilities were fantastic; I especially liked their beautiful spa area that is a perfect place to relax after a busy day in London. The food was world class as well. The hotel has a three Michelin stars restaurant as one of the only hotels in the world. I had lunch at The Grill, which was a nice little experience. The PR Manager of The Dorchester they not only want to be the best hotel in London but also one of the best hotels in the world. In my opinion, they do belong in Condé Nast Traveller’s Gold List and Travel + Leisure’s top 500, but it’s not one of the very best experiences in the world. The service is the most important thing in a hotel, and Dorchester’s service is very professional and attentive, but with 244 rooms it’s difficult to deliver the best personalized service in the world.
Overall it was a fantastic hotel experience. I like having hotel experiences I can’t have anywhere else in the world. The Dorchester felt very British in a good way and is a highly recommended experience.
My opinion: Great+ experience.
