The Imperial New Delhi

When I see lists of peoples, favorite hotels in the world I once in a while finds The Imperial in New Delhi. The Imperial is a classical historical hotel with history back to it was opening in 1931. The Imperial has since been well recognised as one of the world’s best hotels in both Travel+Leisure and Condé Nast Traveller. Based on that I arrived at the hotel with very high expectations.

I arrived at the hotel and had a very warm welcome by their professional staff. I stayed in their highest category of suites, the Royal Imperial Suite and it was fantastic. It’s 3000 square. ft. of quality. Three Bang&Oloufsen Tv’s, comfortable bed, lounge and a lot of paintings everywhere. The bathroom had Bulgari amenities, steam, sauna and jacuzzi. Overall one of the best suites I’ve stayed.

The most important thing in a hotel is always the service, and I will agree with people’s comments. It were great and exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve experienced, but that’s mainly because of 274 rooms which make it impossible to deliver personalised service. Some staff did remember my name, though, and the staff is very professional and well trained.

The facilities is great. The spa is recently launched and is only for in-house guests. It was very beautiful, and the treatment was great. The food was outstanding. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and both service and food were excellent.

Overall a fantastic experience in New Delhi. It’s a very special hotel with its character that you can’t find elsewhere in the world.

My opinion: Great+ experience.
