After one week in Indonesia, I headed back to one my favourite countries, Thailand. I arrived at Phuket Airport and was picked up by the hotel car that had fruits, water and cold towel for me. When I reached the hotel, I was welcomed by the resort manager Sophie and with a cold towel and drink. After that, I was escorted to my sea-view villa. The Sea-view villa has an incredible view over your private swimming pool and the Andaman Ocean. That is the main attraction of the villa that looks beautiful, but far from the best I’ve stayed. The bathroom has a very nice feature of the bathtub decorated with stones around it. The disappointing thing about the villa must be that there’s not a flatscreen Tv, that I’m sure they’ll have soon since all 5-star hotels are replacing the old boxes now. This resorts target group is mostly honeymooners, and since you probably won’t spend too much time watching Tv on vacation it’s not that important, but for me, an old box Tv doesn’t look nice.
While this hotel has villas with an incredible view and is perfect for honeymooners, but service should be better in some areas. The staff is friendly, but more training is needed. The food was unfortunately far from the standards of Relais & Châteaux, which was a surprise.
My conclusion is that this hotel is perfect for honeymooners who hasn’t been to hotels like Four Seasons or St. Regis resorts. The view and private swimming pool in the villa are world class and are the best things to say about this hotel. The service is not good enough for a world-class hotel but is good enough for most honeymooners. Overall I will still rank it as a great experience for the villas and views.
My opinion: Great experience.
