The two hotels have some of the same service standards. Like in Phuket I received a warm welcome and was escorted directly to the villa for a 15 minutes foot message and welcome drink. I stayed in a Honeymoon Villa which was really great. Large private swimming pool, living room downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. The bed was fine, but not the most comfortalbe I’ve slept in. The bathroom had an outdoor shower and a special designed bath tub. The bathroom amenities were locally made, but didn’t impress me much besides that.
With Relais&Chateaux you can always count on good food. Sometimes is world class, but at least always good. Bali Pavilions was no exception and both breakfast and dinner was very good. As a 5C member of Relais&Chateaux I was given a 1 hour complimentary message and it was fantastic. Excellent treatment by a very nice therapist which offered a great cup of tea after the massage.
The service was very good, but lots of staff have limited English skills, but it wasn’t really a problem as they all had a great friendly attitude and made me feel at home. What I loved most about Bali Pavilions was the extraordinary value. Rates starts at 200 dollars, but besides that they don’t overprice extras like other hotels. A coca cola is 1 dollar, a fantastic massage treatment is 25-30 dollars and dinner starts at 10 dollars. Excellent value all around. I can’t recommend it enough as an affordable great hotel experience.
My opinion: Great experience.
