The hotel provides complimentary airport transfers for all guests and I was pick up in the morning and arrived to a very warm welcome where a drink was offered. I had a conversation with the Australian owner Tony before he escorted me to the room. I stayed in One Bedroom Villa and it was great. Comfortable bed, separate livingroom from the bedroom, outdoor shower, bathtub and great local products in the bathroom. Loved the design and the easy access to the beach.
Eratap was the first high end hotel in Vanuatu and since 2 others had open. Ratua was my reason for goign to Vanuatu and I had no idea Eratap would be a world class resort, but for me it was. It all depends what you like, but the concept and service of Eratap was just as I like it.
Besides complimentary airport transfers all guests also have breakfast and boat trips included. The boat trips is a must. Exploring the nearby islands and the surroundings was incredible. Very beautiful.
The food was fantastic. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all up to a high standard and a little cheaper than remote resorts usually. I also like the detail that you never have to sign any bills, it will automatically go to your room account and you can check the bill upon check out.
The most important thing in a hotel is the service and Eratap really delivered. The staff were fantastic and lovely. I absolutely loved Vanuatu. It had some of the friendliest people in the world and the ones working in Eratap was well trained and delivered great service.
Overall a fantastic and unique experience. I’m so happy I found this property as it’s only recognizion is Condé Nast Johannesen. It easily belongs among the best 500 hotel experiences in the world and is close to my own personal favorites.
My opinion: Fantastic experience.
