Finding the best hotel in Ukraine’s capital has now become a challenge. The opening of Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv sets a new standard of luxury in the capital which now also features a lovely boutique hotel called, 11 Mirrors.
My experience with Fairmont Grand Hotel started with a quick check in before I was offered a drink and an escort to the room. I stayed in a Deluxe Room which is one of their standard categories. Although the room was brand new, it had a great classical design. The room featured flastcreen Tv, working desk, comfortable bed and a separate shower from the bathtub in the bathroom.
The facilities were another impressive element of my stay. I especially liked the spa which had a very friendly receptionist and great facilities. It of course makes a huge difference that everything is brand new, but with Fairmont everything works in all areas including the service. Almost all staff are local Ukrainians with experience from other hotels in the past. I felt very well taken care of and especially the front desk and concierge staff always had an impressive positive attitude.
Overall a truly great hotel in the capital of Ukraine. I can highly recommend it as the place to stay although it depends what you like. The 11 Mirrors is cheaper and great if you like small intimate boutique hotels, but don’t need the facilities. Fairmont has it all, except being small. 258 rooms total, but I still felt like a guest, not a number.
My opinion: Great+ experience.
