Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera opened last year as Croatia’s only member of The Leading Hotels of the World. That fact was the main reason for selecting it as my last hotel in Croatia.
The hotel picked me up from the bus station in Zadar and after a 20 minutes ride I arrived in this big complex which also includes a bigger 4 star family resort.
This 5 star resort has 210 rooms and 160 of those is 32 square metres double rooms. I stayed in one of those and it was quite nice. Before that I was given a welcome drink in the lobby. The double room had contemporary design WITH strong blue colours. The room also had comfortable twin beds, flatscreen Tv, working desk and a balcony with beautiful sea views. The bathroom had separate shower from the bathtub and lots of amenities including a face soap which I haven’t seen in any other hotels.
The food was a good experience. The dinner had better food and service than I expected. The facilities included a 6.000 square metres Acquepura Spa which was lovely and one of the biggest indoor swimming pools I’ve seen. I personally love quiet spas with few guests, but for a hotel of this size it’s very impressive.
The service level was a mixed experience and a point where Falkensteiner has to improve. Keep in mind it’s a new hotel and it takes time to get it right. A better English level is required for some staff, while other staff already had the level I would expect in a LHW property.
Overall a very pleasant experience and surely a must in Zadar as it’s by far the best choice.
My opinion: Good+ experience.<
