The Presidential Suite is located far from the lobby area and I was escorted with buggy. The Suite was absolutely amazing and featured 240 square metres indoor space with plasma Tvs, kitchen room, business centre, dinner table for 10 and much more. Fantastic bathroom with huge round bath tub and steam bath. 280 square metres outdoor area with outdoor shower and jacuzzi and a large private swimming pool all combined with an amazing sea view. Overall it was one of the best suites I’ve seen and I couldn’t complain about anything.
The most important thing in a hotel is always the service. With Four Seasons I’ve always recieved extraordinary service and well trained staff. Mauritius was no exception. The service was up the the standard I’ve had in other Four Seasons, but still not as good as Four Seasons Sayan which I think was the best. The facilities is up to the highest standards and they have a golf course designed by Ernie Els.
The food did not meet my expectations. The hotel was fully booked and the restaurant did not have enough staff for that evening. I was shocked to see the service was missing as it was the first time I saw that with Four Seasons. The staff was good, but simply not enough staff because the restaurant was full. They should have organized that better. The food itself was good, but with Four Seasons I always have very high expectations and they were not met. The same thing happend in the breakfast where they gave me something different from what I ordered.
Overall a great Four Seasons experience and the presidential suite was amazing to stay in. There is some service issues when they are fully booked, but with Four Seasons I’m sure they will take care of that accordingly in the future.
My opinion: Fantastic experience.
