I arrived late afternoon and received an upgrade to a Courtyard Suite. It had the same classical design as the rest of the hotel and with both separate sitting area and shower. Beautiful views of Monte Carlo from the balcony and a comfortable bed made it a great room.
I had dinner in their 3 star Michelin restaurant, Louis XV and it was easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. They gave me a private dining next to the kitchen and it was absolutely incredible. The vegtables was out of this world and I couldn’t complain about anything.
The service was very good, but very formal. Personalized service isn’t possible with 262 rooms and it’s too big for my personal taste. Another thing is that internet is chargeable and that they don’t have a non smoking floor.
To sum up, Hotel de Paris definitely deserves it’s place in the lists of the best hotels in the world. High service standards and nice rooms, but the 3 star Michelin restaurant is my biggest memory and is definitely a must in Monaco.
My opinion: Great experience.
