The first impressions is always very important and in my opinion Neiburgs failed on this point. The front disk wasn’t very welcoming and there was no escort to the room. My impressions changed on the way to the room. A beautiful designed lobby area and the room was even better. My room was officially called a Studio Apartment, but was like a suite. Separate sitting area and even a small kitchen which makes it the perfect hotel for a long time stay in Riga. The bathtub was not separate from the shower, but was freestanding and very beautiful designed. There was also a working desk and it was a great room for both business and leisure. The service is always very hard to compare because you won’t find the Asian hospitality level in the Baltics, but compared with the other hotels in the region Neiburgs had very good service. The facilities were very nice as well with a great small spa which is complimentary for hotel guests.
Overall a great choice in Riga. On the same level as it’s many competitors, but with lower rates. Fully deserved it’s inclusion in Condé Nast Traveler’s Hot List and a nice experience to the portfolio.
My opinion: Good+ experience.
