Introduction: For a decade now Hotel Q! ⎯ or as our friends say das Q! ⎯ is one of the places to stay in the German capital. Known for its extravagant architecture, the design hotel is a unique visual experience as well as a friendly and warm home to return to from a day about town.Hotel Q! is located mere footsteps from the famous Kurfürstendamm with its many boutiques and restaurants. Created by the internationally-renowned Graft-Architects, the interior is an awesome red cocoon made from environmentally-friendly materials. The space provides a hearth in which you can withdraw and relax from the raucous of the city, enjoying a fire-side cocktail in The Fox Bar or a cosy soak in your room’s elegant bathtub.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
What I loved: The unique design.
What about the service: Mixed experience. Wasn’t impressed with the receptionist upon arriving, but the receptionist in the morning was very kind and professional.
What about the rooms: Beautiful contemporary rooms with a bathtub next to the bed and double sink in an all-open room.
Number of rooms: 77.
Type of property: City hotel.
Location: Berlin, Germany.
Facilities: Spa, pool and business/meeting facilities.
Complimentary internet: Yes.
Affiliations: None, but could be in Kiwi Collection Design Hotels and/or Five Star Alliance in my opinion.
My overall impression: Good+ experience. A good, comfortable design hotel on level with many hotels in the Design Hotels-collection.
