InterContinental Bali Resort is a 14 hectares tropical resort with 418 room resort and beautiful public areas. The beach at Jimbaran Bay is one of the better in Bali and if you like corporate hotels, InterContinental does a really good job with this one in many ways. Obviously, having stayed in many resorts in Bali, I always arrive with high expectations. The lobby staff are professional and the arrival was as expected, but the standard rooms are simply not good enough. My room was even dirty and not cleaned properly. An example was the telephone which was full of dust. The standard rooms feels more like you could be anywhere in the world and actually in any city of the world.
While the room didn’t meet my expectations, I was very happy with the quality of their Japanese restaurant called KO. Great, high quality food from the talented chef. The breakfast buffet had lots of options, but was lacking quality and with up to 800 other guests around you often have to wait at the buffet. Finally its worth to mention the free internet which is a big plus and unusual for InterContinental and the fact that they have over 800 staf to take care of the 418 rooms.
Overall a pleasant experience and with good value for money, it’s just far from the best you can get in Bali, but that also involves a higher prices.
My opinion: Good+ experience.
