With only 8 rooms (7 Superior Suites and 1 Standard Room) I expected personalized service and even in one night I received that. I arrived and received a very nice welcome drink before being escorted to the room. I stayed in one of their seven Superior Suites and it was lovely and great maintained. The room felt very luxurious and comfortable and definitely up to the highest standards of boutique hotels in the world. Molton Brown products in the bathroom, but the shower wasn’t separate from the bathroom which was the only thing I didn’t like about the great rooms. The room also had a handwritten welcome card and complimentary wireless internet which was very fast.
As said before the service is very personalized, but the staff is also warm and well-trained. The facilities included a smaller swimming pool. Breakfast was very good and it’s hard to fault Kensington Place. I wrote in their guest book that it’s the best small hotel in Cape Town which I strongly believe. It’s not a once in a life time experience, but a fantastic place to stay in Cape Town which I highly recommend even for the most discerning travelers.
My experience: Great+ experience.
