Lomani arranged a private boat for me and I arrived in Likuliku after less than 15 minutes with high expectations. I received a warm welcome and a great welcome drink before being escorted around the property. The last stop was my room and I was excited to see it after the excellent reviews I had read.
I stayed in a Beachfront Bure Villa and it was lovely. From the moment you step in you will hear relaxing local music and it made a atmoshare. The design was comteporary The bed was one of the best I’ve slept in and the attention to detail was very impressive. I couldn’t fault anything about the villa, but I think it would have been better if all rooms had a private swimming pool. That was the only thing missing in my opinion. I also had a look at the over water villas and they were lovely as well. In fact it’s the first and only resort in Fiji with Over-Water villas.
The most important thing is always the service and Likuliku did a great job. Fijian people are very warm, but Likuliku´s staff were furthermore well trained and I was very happy to see this level of service in Fiji.
The food exceeded my expecations by far. The dinner was close to the level of some of the Michelin restaurants where I’ve eaten in Europe. Food is very important for Likuliku and their chef from New Zealand is very talented. Relais&Chateaux should take a look at Likuliku as the experience is true to their 5 C’s.
Overall a fantastic experience. I was extremly happy with everything and the fact that I got some of the best Fiji has to offer in the project. The experience is costly, but well worth it.
My opinion: Great+ experience.
