Mandarin Oriental Geneva

Mandarin Oriental is one of my favorite hotel brand because of some incredible experiences in the past. Unfortunately they do have two very disappointing properties in Manila and Macau (Grand Lapa), but the others is absolutely world class. After my stay in Mandarin Oriental Geneva I’m happy to conclude it’s no exception.

I arrived in the hotel and was offered a glass of champagne while check in. I booked a deluxe room, but because of high occupancy they only had their Mont Blanc Garden Suite left. I was very excited as this is their second best suite in the hotel. 175 square metres with a lot of nice details. Beautiful view over Geneva, livingroom, comfortable bed, Bang&Olufsen Tv, fireplace, working desk, jacuzzi and steambath. Couldn’t ask for more. All combined with the typical modern design you will find in most Mandarin Oriental’s. The welcome amenities included some chocolates, fruit juice, fruits and a handwritten welcome letter.

The most important thing is always service and I was very satisfied with Mandarin Oriental Geneva. Great professional staff everywhere in the hotel as you would expect in a property close to $1.000 pr. night. Used to be cheaper before the succesful renovation which was completed 1 month ago.

The food was a fantastic experience. Their one star Michelin Indian restaurant, Rasoi by Vineet delivered a great experience and it was like being back in India.

Overall one of Europe’s best city hotels. It’s very expensive, but when only the best can do this is the place to stay in Geneva.

My opinion: Fantastic experience.
