I’ve always had extraordinary service with Orient-Express and Maroma delivered that as well. A warm attentive welcome where their home made drink was offered. I stayed in a junior suite which was very different from anything I’ve seen before. The design was traditional Mexican and it had a nice ocean view from it’s balcony. The internet was complimentary and was fast throughout my stay. The bed could be more comfortable and was the only thing I didn’t like about the room.
The facilities was very good especially the spa. I had a 90 minutes spa treatment and it was outstanding. The best treatment I’ve had outside Asia. The food is very expensive in Maroma, but it’s excellent and made with the best Mexican ingrediens available. The beach was better than expected and not too crowded. Just like it should be in an Orient-Express that’s delivers a local experience whereever they are.
Maroma Resort & Spa has been included in several lists of the worlds bests hotels and it’s very well deserved. It’s a unique experience in many ways and with only 65 rooms and 1 villa the resort wasn’t too big to deliver the required personalized service.
My opinion: Great+ experience.
