The Istanbul EDITION

Edition Hotels is a new lifestyle brand by the Marriott group and I was very excited to explore The Istanbul EDITION after the fantastic reviews I had read.

I arrived in the hotel and the staff welcomed my by name. Very impressive and not expected even though the hotel only has 78 rooms. It’s owned by Marriott, but with Edition Hotels they have created something completely opposite. The design was fantastic everywhere and similar to my best design experiences. Fasano and Armani which have the great combination between modern and classic.

I stayed in a Loft Suite and it was fantastic. Separate sitting area, very comfortable bed and a Bang&Olufsen Tv. The bathroom had great products and I couldn’t fault anything in the room. Just wonderful. The welcome amenities was great with chocolates and a handwritten welcome card. The internet was complimentary and was fast though my stay.

The facilities were outstanding as well. The ESPA spa was one of the best I’ve seen with amazing spa facilities and a great indoor swimming pool. Everything worked in The Edition. I know the most important thing always is the service and it exceeded my expectations as well. Very personalized by the fantastic staff. I was very sad only to stay 24 hours in this hotel, but I definitely know where to stay in Istanbul in the future.

The food was another great experience. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I had dinner in their Cipriani restaurant and it was really good and the service level was very high as well. Last thing I have to mention is the atmosphere in the hotel, the music in the bar. Just loved it. I also loved the non smoking policy where even the bar is non smoking. It’s a very important detail for me personally and another reason why I loved this hotel.

Overall it belongs among my favorite city hotels in the world. I was so surprised. It will always have something to do with your personal preference, but I couldn’t fault anything in The Istanbul EDITION and I hope it over time will be recognized for it’s amazing experience.

My opinion: Fantastic experience.
