Introduction: Striking, modern glass and chrome exterior distinguishes The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street from the growing collection of luxury Beijing hotels in this internationally influential business district. Yet, as guests step inside, the architectural fashion of finance gives way to Feng Shui, bringing balance to a lobby that is sophisticated, warm and comfortable. Featuring more than 253 elegantly appointed guest rooms with stunning skyline views of Beijing, a world-class rejuvenating spa , four acclaimed restaurants and state-of-the-art event venues , this distinctive five star hotel orchestrates exceptional experiences in Beijing with artistry, surprise and personalized attention for business and leisure travelers alike.
Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My arrival experience: Quick check-in before being escorted
What I loved: Staying in a hotel where things works. Nothing exceeded my expectations, but everything met.
What about the service: Professional and standardized without being extraordinary. I have seen both better and worse from Ritz-Carlton. I would place their property right in the middle of the portfolio.
What about the rooms: Typical Ritz-Carlton design with comfortable beds, separate rain showers and Asprey products in the bathrooms.
Number of rooms: 253
Type of property: City hotel.
Location: Beijing, China.
Facilities: Spa, gym, swimming pool and business/meeting facilities. The club lounge is fully up to Ritz-Carlton’s standards, but should have a high-end water like Evian instead of their own branded water any guest can get for free at any time.
Complimentary internet: Yes.
My overall impression: Great experience. Not an unforgettable experience, but a well-run business hotel with professional service and great facilities.
